Their service has been in operation since 1972 and they are a family company now in their fourth generation.
They transport, on average, thirty consignments of personal effects/used household furniture/new furniture/small individual commercial shipments between the UK and Switzerland weekly (with the exception of the Xmas and New Year week).
The only people that handle the goods from collection through to the delivery are fully trained, permanent staff of Luker Bros. (Removals and Storage) Ltd. They collect, they deliver and they arrange the customs clearance. They do not involve other transport companies, staff or agencies.
Collections in the UK are made during one week and those are delivered in Switzerland the following Tuesday /Wednesday. Collections in Switzerland are made on a Wednesday/Thursday and delivered in the UK early the following week. Schedules are determined by the geographics of the bookings and customer's individual requirements.
They collect and deliver to/from actual addresses – they do not "drop off"/"pick up" at warehouses/terminals/other companies for sub-contracting. The service is personal to you.
They provide a full service. All packing, packing materials, removal equipment, export and important customs formalities along with specific advice on the documentation required for each individual shipment, and assistance with VAT reclaim on new goods purchased in the UK for delivery to Switzerland.
Their prices include the complete service from door to door (no hidden extras) other than Swiss duties and taxes where applicable on new goods.
